• Prize-winning Oxford BA in theology with first-class honours, a peer-reviewed biblical studies publication, and a track record of academic achievement in other subjects.
• Previously a government bond and interest-rate swap trader at Barclays Capital in London, finishing with the rank of Vice President.
• Married to Mim and we have three sons, the oldest of whom is six. On my father’s side I am from Kaikōura, a descendant of Tangitu Norton, and Ngāi Tahu is my iwi. I grew up in Auckland.
