On Monday morning we got back from two weeks in New Zealand. It was Mim’s first trip to NZ, so we spent some time travelling around the country, first staying in Waihi for a couple of days with Mum, Dad and Robyn, and then going by ourselves to Rotorua for a few days. In Rotorua we went on a helicopter ride to Mt Tarawera, rafted the Kaituna river and waterfall, did the luge, soaked in the hot pools, visited geothermal parks, and visited Andrew & Anna in Tauranga.
The second week we spent back in Auckland with the family, doing day trips. Hannah and Rick recently had their first child, Annelise, so it was especially great to be able to spend time with them getting to know our niece. We went up to Goat Island marine reserve with Robyn to go snorkelling, to Waiheke Island with Hannah, Rick and Annelise, and to Piha with Mum, Dad and Robyn.
With only two weeks we were not able to meet up with everyone nor see as much of the country as we would have liked to, but we did have an amazing time.
Make sure you check out our photos from the trip.
